Robin Van Purse Strings & Exactly Why United Are So Hated, See Rio Ferdinand For Example

Robin Van Purse strings well well well what can I say, his choice to join United was based on nothing but bitterness. Bitterness for Manchester City for more than one reason. The little boy at Arsenal was the end of a conveyor belt of talent, he had to watch on as all who followed him were average at best. Seeing all the greats leave through the exit door must have been heartbreaking, with the last of them being Thierry Henry you wonder if he felt trapped.

Then when a bit of promise started to show in the form of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy backed up by the last of the seniors in Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor. Along came FC Barcelona and more importantly Manchester City, Kolo Toure, then Adebayor (the lazy git), followed by Clichy and Nasri, you can understand how his dislike for Manchester City came about. His dislike was ever present every time Arsenal met Manchester City, he made it personal on many an occasion against Adebayor, Nasri and most recently Balotelli ending in him being on the receiving end of retaliation. I knew from day one that if Manchester City went for the little crippled whiner, he would choose to turn us down. I for one am happy he ended up at United, 29 years old, injury stricken and one crack away from a career ending injury with the FFP ready to take hold is a damn huge gamble for one little title.

The only thing I regret us not doing, was not replacing Balotelli or at least not giving Guidetti a chance out on the wing.

I'd take 1 Sergio Aguero over 5 Van Purse Strings all day long.

Oh well, I hope the records keep those inbred rags warm at night when Fergy finally calls it a day, they are going to need all the warmth they can get their grubby little hands on. (you'd think the fall of Liverpool would have taught the rag fans a lesson, it's obvious they lack the intelligence to see past their own arrogance).

All the United fans and the United fan run websites, media and papers had been talking up how they had the title rapped up, thus insulting and dismissing Stoke City, West Ham, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea, Swansea and West Brom before they had even mathematically secured top spot. All those clubs were more than capable of taking points if not a win, their arrogance rears its ugly head each and every time United are in the driving seat.

The poor fools believe it's because of their clubs success?, the very same success they fail to realise was achieved before they even took their first gasp of air or barely out of nappies. Those rags that were trying to show caution were only doing so to not go through a repeat of last seasons HUGE disappointment and upset but again even their arrogance was starting to show.

I keep reminding myself as much as possible, never to allow myself to drop to their level. Arrogance is an ugly trait, Ignorance is equally another which they have in abundance.

Their arrogance is so infectious that any player joining their club immediately begin to schooling on how they should go about hating Liverpool and Manchester City. Rio Ferdinand's latest outburst only goes to show how arrogant they are, they've become so bitter that it is now part of their clubs fabric.

I never thought I'd see the day when a club taught their players to dive, I mean cheating is and unfortunately always will be a part of sport but blatantly cheating for everyone to see is just embarrassingly stupid. To the typical rag United fan its all part of the game and OK as long as it's them doing it and winning in the process, the second they lose while trying to cheat their way to a win and they attack their players for not getting away with it.

Well done to our club for congratulating the rags on their title win, we won't be seeing their club return the humble gesture. They have all but forgot that if it was not for Manchester City, their success could have easily gone in the other direction (if only we didn't help them out after World War II. I too wish to congratulate their club for the title win though don't believe I would have liked my club to win it that way myself.  I honestly don't think our Premier League title win will ever be bettered, the only way that would happen is if a club came out of nowhere with no money and snatched the title.

Don't hate them, Pity them.

Keep that trophy warm, clean and shiny for us, we'll be back next season to collect it from you.

    1. I never said I wasn't bitter, it's you rags that deny you're also bitters.

That's where my bitterness stops, at not letting your club go tits up. Your success means nothing to me, I only care for my own clubs success.

Like I said, for your clubs 20th title?, well done to YOUR CLUB.

      Now jog on!

Quite a piece here, on the arrogance of United fans.....for God's sake, don't generalise it and apply it to every United fan out there....pfft...always judging United by the wrong half of fans....it is a pity that you wrote such a piece, just because you're angry at having lost the title....and btw....how is winning the title with shitload of money,in the dying seconds of the damn season, that too on goal difference, such a remarkable feat???
Don't highlight the "HOLLYWOOD" nature of your title win...look at the fine margins by which you clinched the title....and as far as the club declining after SAF retires...I'm confident that the legendary manager will ensure his legacy is continued after his retirement....the guy lives.and breathes Manchester United...so take a chill pill....the humble gesture made by City was because of the nature of the title win...It would not have been so, had the title race gone down to the wire, and United had won....#ProudUnitedFan

    1. You talk like you're the majority but thats a big fat lie now ain't it, the majority of your fan base are arrogant and ignorant and that's a fact for all to see.

You're a minority and a small one at that, if you want to rant about it, then go rant at your own arrogant fans (oh a forgot they would just mob you and brush you aside as a minority now wouldn't they.

I couldn't care less about losing the title so you're wrong there, the bigger picture is the more important thing. That's my club progressing and achieving more, lets face it United won't be stopping us from acheiving that.

Your club isn't progressing if you won the title last year and lost it this year you fool

      Delete
    3. See the only fool here is you, United fans only think of glory and bragging rights, that's all you rags have to live for.

We City fans have bigger things to look forward too like having good players that can entertain rather than watch a group of boring players cheat their way to winning all the time.

Our only concern is the continued development and sustainability of our club, then there's the prospect of having one of the best academies in the world. Something your club could only dream of having.

What exactly do you rags have to look forward too?, not much I can tell you.

Your only concern is continued development and sustainability?
I don't need to give you stats from our last TWENTY years, you have the internet.

You are right, it's hard to look forward to something..when you already have it, but we will try.

I envy the excitement you will get playing in the champs league next year. Good luck to you

We already have one of the best academies in the world...

      Delete
    6. typical delusional United fan, Rio Ferdinand Giggs, Scholes, Roy Keane, Sheringham, Cantona, Rooney, Cole, Yorke and the list is long, all came from other clubs and academies.

The only lateest notable players to come from the United academy were the Neville rat boys and Beckham, your club haven't got a world class academy at all.

Manchester City's academy have produced more international players than United's academy have in the last 5 years.

90% of the players that have borken into United's first team recently have come from other clubs academies, your clubs academy is a joke just like Chelsea's and Arsenals academies. All three of your clubs have tried to poach the best yuong players from other clubs for the past decade or so.

      Jog on!

    7. Anonymous28/4/13

what are you talking about? How about Fletcher, Welbeck, Cleverley, Evans all making important contributions from the United academy. Who does City have in their first team besides Micah Richards that came through their academy and actually contributes? No one.

      Delete
    8. You may want to check where some of those players originated from before opening your big fat mouth.

Welbeck sure but hes nothing special and will be sold on eventually.

Jonny Evans came from Greenisland FC.

Tom Cleverley was poached from Bradford City.

Darren Fletcher was from Hutchinson Vale and Tynecastle Boys Club.

    Hi
am a united fan and am great friends with a die hard city fan. Last year when your team won the title in the last second i was the first one to call him and congratulate him. He always said that his team (city) had to wait for so long to get it, always said that the true fans always remain that way. I congratulated him cause his stance was vindicated, congratulated him cause he was a true fan who only wanted to see him team win. I congratulated him as his team did a better job over the season as compared to mine. Congratulated him because what we were watching was a sport & nothing more.

This year we took the title back, fair and square. There are a zillion reasons for it. All that i ask as a football fan (not just a united one) is for you to just accept that United won this time and city will give it all the next season.

Am a huge fan of Kun & at the same time adore RVP. love watching the mid field giant of yours as he charges down at the same time relish Rooney send a stellar pass. Love watching your goalie command his box and at the same time see mine saving an unsavable one. Love seeing the passion of your captain and command of mine..

Thats why this is a great game right ?? Why should we let each other & at the same time our clubs down by making it negative and personal. We both have our space under the sun & lets keep it that way.

    1. I applaud your honesty though I could never see myself take such a neutral outlook, long gone are the generation of fans who supported or even followed both clubs. As far as I'm concerned fans of multiple clubs are not dedicated fans.

I am of a generation that has had to endure United fans for over three decades, a fan of support and not of glory and I believe your fan base deserve all the get.

I won't apologise for the way I feel or think, but I am humble enough to congratulate and be honest. United deserve the title but deserve no respect when they fail to respect others.

Thanks for the response, Am a follower of City because of the passion of fans like my friend & you too in some ways. Am a fan of United and will always be. The only difference, if united loose will be grumpy in office the next day but it will never be because city won.

You deserve your points I cherish mine

    3. I agree with you that most Man U supports are arrogant and half of them only support united because they win things, and to be honest we will only see who the real fans are when united go 5 years without a trophy. BUT, City BOUGHT the title, as with Chelsea before them, and Man utd before them. over the next 5 to 10 years your fan base will miraculously grow as you become the dominant force in english football and those fans will be just as arrogant as the majority of united fans, you just have to look at Chelski, everyone is arrogant when they win, and bitter when they lose, if you think i dont know that i'm an Arsenal and have seen the rise and fall of my club, have had to watch our best players sell out for money and success else where. I cant stand RVP but cant deny him the success he had. but he wasn't the the single most import reason united won the title. they won it because city blew it, and the reason they blew it is because none of your players bar Joe Hart are there because of love for the club, they are there because of MONEY. when the going gets tough, those that love the club step up and fight, those that don't do a Samir Na$ri and turn their backs, Man U have built a legacy and that gets them through tough games, city's legacy is just starting. but if I were you i would just hope that FFP doesn't kick in or you lot will go back into mediocrity

      Delete
    4. LOl the FFP, if you knew anything about the FFP in both Europe and the Premier League, and equally anything about Manchester City's current financial health you would know City fans have nothing what so ever to worry about.

As for love for City, if you think Joe Hart is the only one who plays with love for City then you're blind and stupid.

Yaya, Barry, Silva, Tevez, Aguero, Richards, Zabaleta, Nastasic, Milner, Clichy always show love when they put in 100%. Every club has its set of players who are not happy or below par.

It just so happens that I wouldn't care if Nasri left, just thought I'd let you know Arsenal are in third on my table of most annoying English fan bases, if you can call it English that is.

      Delete
    5. Before anyone spouts off about Tevez, he always gives 100% and has shown his desire to stay at City with a view to even extending his contract. He's loved by City fans and we love him back.

Of course RVP didn't join your club; just look at who you had up front ... Aguero, Tevez, Belotelli, Dzenko, that's tough competition. Back at utd there's only Rooney ... Danny what's he's name and Chicke Dorritoes are no competition.

The big problem United have is what to do with Fergie when he decides to go? Will they follow Liverpool's treatment of Shankley and show him the door? Or will they go down the Busby route and hamper any incoming manager with the spectre of Fergie looming over every decision he makes?

Not a united fan in the least; but do you not realise the irony of calling RvP 'Van Purse Strings'? suggesting that one of the major motives for his move was based on money... Perhaps you should try remembering exactly how Man City won the league last year? Just a thought. Peace.

    1. Funny that aye, did it ever cross your mind that United offered him slightly more than City did?. Ill say again Van Purse Strings could have chosen to stay at Arsenal but instead he chose money and glory.

i have to ask this: if city had bought rvp and he had made you champions with his goals with 4 games to spare...what would this exact article be about? surely about your adoration for him, wouldn't it? ALL football fans are delusional. will you honestly tell me you give too much of a shit if a slightly offside goal counts or you get a pen that shouldn't have been awarded? or you win a "massive" game via an excellent nasri dive? of course you will admit it shouldn't have counted, but all we really care about are results. it's the same for fans of champions-league winning sides, championship winning sides and for those battling against relegation to league 2. this results from BLINDLY following a club. it's what football fans are all about. so this means of course in retroperspective you can tell the whole world via the mighty medium the internet is that you never wanted rvp to join you lot. you wanted him to, and you know it.

    1. Only delusional person here is you chump, I hated RVP when he was at Arsenal. The ponce is a prick and if you asked anyone who knows me they would tell you, RVP is the last person I'd ever want at Manchester City.

Not to mention the fact hes 29 years old, has an injury record to make you cringe. The fact Owen Hargreaves injuries weren't treated properly at United isn't exactly a good sign, all it take is one very bad knock to RVP's ankle and hes out for a whole season.

Like I said you delusional muppet, just RVP's actions against Manchester City while at Arsenal made me hate his gutts, I'm happy he's at United and hope he suffers a serious injury next season.

He thought with RVP he could win the lot.Thats why he can only be the Lord of the epl with the refs and FA.The cl is an earldom too big for his shoes. He may as well go until
